MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics (Foods and Nutrition)

Duration: 2 years (4 semesters coursework and internship). Post coursework students are encouraged to attend Registered Dietetian (RD) Internship.

Eligibility: Any bachelor degree in one of the following:

  1. Food Nutrition and Dietetics
  2. Home Science with Food and Nutrition as a specialisation. The student should have covered a minimum of four courses out of the following: Nutritional Biochemistry, Food Microbiology, Basic Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition and Therapeutic Nutrition.
  3. Any undergraduate degree with a minimum of 4 nutrition-related subjects like (i) Basic Nutrition (ii) Biochemistry (iii) Human Physiology (iv) Diet Therapy (v) Clinical Nutrition (vi) Diet in Diseases.
  4. PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics are eligible for lateral entry to the 3rd  semester.
Lateral entry to the third semester after:
  1. A postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics with an undergraduate degree course in Nutrition, or
  2. A four-year undergraduate degree with honors in Nutrition and Dietetics.
